Fonts and Clarity of Text

John 3:16

For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

If the following picture looks clearer, or the fonts are different to the NET Bible version of it above, you probably need to check your “font-smoothing” out.

If you need to see this page in a higher quality, please check whether your font-smoothing is turned on, and if using Windows — ClearType.

Each operating system has its own method of controlling font smoothing.

If you use Xp or Vista you can go here to Microsoft, to get the ClearType Tuner PowerToy, look for "download - ClearType Tuner PowerToy - http://download.microsoft.com", there are further instructions there as well. If you use Windows 7, you will find ClearType already in your Control Panel. ClearType could improve the appearance of some other programs for you as well, and is particularly helpful to LCD displays.

Once installed, and ClearType is adjusted and on, or you have otherwise changed you computer's font-smoothing settings, please shut and restart your browser if necessary.
